Out of Hours

On Wednesday 19 July the Queen’s House opened its doors for a fun-filled evening for young people aged 13-18 and we are still buzzing!

Our dance and music students showed real professionalism performing in the great hall and Corelli certainly got the party started!

We had seven dance performances and the grand finale to the party was our talented percussion group. Corelli masterpieces were also on display in the orangery.  In addition to the performances,  there were art activities, drop-in workshops, outdoor games and even a pop-up magic mirror photo booth. Our students enjoyed working with the incredible poet Paul Lyalls.

We are bias but our slick Corelli performers were the highlight of the entire event. They even spontaneously got everybody up on the dance floor at the end of their set.   The students enjoyed themselves immensely and bought the party to the party! They were so lucky to be given the amazing opportunity to perform at the Queen’s House situated in the heart of Greenwich World Heritage Site.
