Public Speaking at Gresham College
Two Yr.10 students participated in the Worshipful Company of Educators’ Public Speaking Competition at Gresham College in central London.
Both students gave fantastic speeches and were really well received by the judges and other competitors. Chethaka’s speech was about ‘Limits’ and how he overcame them himself, encouraging others to persevere. Lily’s speech was ‘Read between the Lines’ which was a fantastically prepared critique on discrimination and a call for us all to do something about it.
They both dealt beautifully with challenging questions from the floor, and engaged with the other speeches and speakers so confidently.
